The National Eisteddfod is Wales' premier festival and is held annually during the first week of August.

This is the pinnacle of Welsh cultural calendar, traveling from area to area, visiting North and South Wales alternately, provides an opportunity for communities in all parts of Wales to welcome up to 160,000 visitors over a period of eight days.

An eclectic mixture of old and new, traditional and modern, the Eisteddfod is a celebration of what Wales, its culture and language has to offer. After blending by side, ceremonies and official festival with dynamic, young in spirit and welcoming, the festival offers something for everyone - whatever their interests and age.

The Welsh and Welshness in the heart of our festival. But there is a festival of Welsh speakers is just this, but the festival to anyone who wants to get a taste of our language and culture. A large number of visitors to see us without a word of Welsh, and one is open to all - warm-hearted.

We are an arts festival in essence, the national platform for natural music, dance, art, original performances - all kinds of culture. The festival is the heart of the nation and the culture of our country for a week in August where the Welsh cultural agenda is being created for the coming year, and where we celebrate successes. Basically, the Eisteddfod is the place to be in early August each year.

The Eisteddfod is a celebration of Welsh identity, our culture, the concept of belonging to society and to develop pride in our country and its talent. The radio, television and online provision in both languages is an opportunity for supporters of our language, our culture and our country proud of its achievements, and those who fail to attend to feel part of excitement, the excitement and pride that comes from the National Eisteddfod to visit the area.

The highlight of the community plan is more than two years the Eisteddfod festival, regeneration project plan as described by one of Wales' premier touring Arts Council of Wales heads. The festival is the public face of the local work, work not seen by the press and media, but work that can make a real difference to the lives and aspirations of people of all ages and backgrounds in the catchment.
